A Vibrant Hub for the Leading Players in the Industry
At This Year’s International Confectionery Fair, Industry Professionals and Producers of Raw Materials and Confectionery Products Participated with High Engagement
The event saw a strong presence from the printing and packaging industry, a crucial link in the product supply process, providing an excellent opportunity for collaboration and showcasing the latest packaging capabilities from Iran and worldwide. Alireza Ahmadi, CEO of Teram Group, highlighted the diversity of products at the fair and noted the unprecedented response of confectionery industry producers to packaging discussions. There was a noticeable shift toward high-quality, unique, and distinctive packaging, reflecting a clear commitment and interest from industry players.
TERAM aimed to address both the potential and actual needs of the confectionery market, showcasing its ability to produce premium laminated boxes and introducing a new chapter of strong, aesthetically pleasing, and efficient packaging structures for industry producers. This exhibition was held over four consecutive days from September 18 to 21, 2024, at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds.

The 2024 Middle East PHARMEX International Exhibition is a B2B industrial event, providing a valuable opportunity for all pharmaceutical industry professionals to boost their businesses. At this event, key players in the pharmaceutical and related industries have the chance to exchange information in a professional and specialized setting, and visitors often find the solutions they need thanks to the diverse range of exhibitors.
This year, TERAM Group’s unique capabilities in providing packaging for pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements, cosmetics, and personal care products, along with its advanced solutions for enhancing the quality and functionality of packaging in this industry, set its presence at PHARMEX 2024 apart from previous years. At PHARMEX 2024, TEARM unveiled one of the latest offset printing techniques, “Cold Foil” applied to cardboard boxes. This technique is one of the most effective ways to enhance the visual appeal of premium and distinctive boxes. Until recently, cold foil could only be used on printed labels in Iran; however, today, TERAM can apply this effect inline on cardboard. With this technique, even the finest metallic details can be printed in-line, accurately and efficiently. This method also allows for a wide range of colors overlaid on the cold foil, as well as precise foil halftoning at any point on the printing substrate.
Leveraging its expertise and state-of-the-art equipment, TERAM has consistently aimed to play a key role in addressing packaging needs across various industries, especially for pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and personal care product manufacturers. In addition to showcasing its previous offerings and current solutions for enhancing packaging quality and performance, TERAM dedicated part of its booth to idea generation, presenting future solutions to anticipated needs.
Many domestic and international companies in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and personal care sectors visited TERAM’s booth. Distinguished visitors included Mohammad Mehdi Baradaran, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade; Morteza Shahmirzaei, CEO of the National Petrochemical Company; Seyed Heydar Mohammadi, head of the Food and Drug Administration; Abbas Taghdessinajad, CEO of the Shahr Aftab International Exhibition Center; as well as Mr. Engineer Ekhtariaei, president of the Syndicate of Pharmaceutical Raw Material Suppliers, and Dr. Alireza Rostami, deputy head of the Department of Natural, Traditional, and Supplementary Products, with their respective teams.
Achievement of the One-Star HSE Commitment to Excellence Certificate at the 5th National HSE Excellence Conference, Spring 2024

The HSE Excellence Award is granted through collaboration between the HSE Excellence Institute, University of Tehran, and Germany’s Radman Institute, based on evaluating organizations’ performance across four HSE model criteria. This award involves a comprehensive assessment of an organization’s operational activities concerning HSE principles and addresses the needs of customers and community stakeholders in safety, health, and environmental areas. Recognized as a fundamental benchmark for competitiveness and sustainable success, this award is intended for organizations that go beyond the current HSE regulations and view HSE as a level of excellence.
With a focus on enhancing HSE management tools, implementing HSE systems, benchmarking, and performance measurement, TERAM has continually sought to challenge its capabilities in reputable and competitive events such as the National HSE Excellence Festival. For the first time, TERAM’s participation in this event and its achievement of the One-Star HSE Excellence Award at the fifth annual conference is a proud milestone, reflecting its commitment to advancing all aspects of health, safety, and environmental excellence in Iran’s printing and packaging industry

As the end of 2024 approaches and 2025 begins, a special event took place on Friday, March 9, 2024, at the Isfahan City Center conference hall. This gathering brought together TERAM employees and their families to celebrate the end of the year 1402 and look ahead to the new year.
During the event, Alireza Ahmadi, CEO of TERAM Group, reflected on the company’s journey from its founding in 2007 to the present day. He expressed deep appreciation for the dedication of TERAM employees and their shared sense of camaraderie and commitment to the company. Ahmadi emphasized the core value of respect, saying, “At TERAM, we believe that respect is something that should be lived every day, and from the very beginning, I’ve steered clear of empty slogans.”
Ahmadi elaborated on how respect translates into a safe, inspiring work environment, fair compensation, suitable welfare facilities, clear career growth, and a healthy and positive workplace culture. He also shared exciting news about the continued growth of the TERAM family, announcing plans to recruit at least 150 new employees in 2025.
Looking ahead, Ahmadi shared that with the launch of a new Corrugated Packaging production line in 2025, TERAM is poised to become one of the largest producers of multi-layer Corrugated Packaging
in the country
TERAM’s Participation in the 23rd National Printing Industry Festival 2023
The 23rd National Printing Industry Festival was held in Bahman 2024 at Vahdat Hall. As in previous years, a formal invitation was sent to all stakeholders in Iran’s printing industry, including printing companies, graphic designers, and project managers, inviting them to participate in the festival. The call for submissions encouraged participants to send their printed works and packaging samples to the festival’s secretariat for evaluation and ranking.
This year, participants had the opportunity to compete in five key categories of printed works: packaging, advertising, security printing, industrial printing, and post-printing processes. Among the 17 submission requirements, several important points were emphasized.
- The printed works must have been produced from the year 1400 onwards.
- Submitted works must be actual printed pieces produced to customer order, not samples or prototypes.
As this event aims to recognize the top domestic producers of printed works and introduce them to target markets both within the country and in neighboring countries, TERAM participated to remind its customers and all audiences of the quality of its products. In this context, TERAM stood out with the highest number of selected works in various categories, earning recognition at the Tehran Printing and Packaging Industry Festival 2024. At the closing ceremony of the festival, TERAM received a trophy and four certificates of appreciation, marking the conclusion of this prestigious event.
Some of the key criteria for selecting TERAM’s works included:
- High quality in pre-press operations, printing, appropriate use of consumables, and the correct execution of post-printing processes.
- Quality and precision in pre-press, combining various printing and post-printing techniques, and the proper use of additional colors.
- The simultaneous use of different and challenging printing techniques, complete coordination between the design and printing departments, and the precise and flawless execution of box gluing operations.
- Innovation combined with functionality in structural design, aimed at creating product differentiation in the market.
At the 24th National Conference on Green Industries, Mining, and Services, TERAM was honored as the “Selected Employer of Iran’s National Green Industry” for the second consecutive year.

Each year, the National Green Industries, Mining, and Services Conference is organized to recognize and encourage industries advancing towards sustainable development. This event highlights industrial, mining, and service units that, alongside fostering production and job creation, also prioritize environmental responsibility. One of the main objectives of the conference is to align production practices with pollution reduction and environmental protection, while enhancing collaboration between the Environmental Protection Organization and industrial, mining, and service sectors.
Energy management has become a critical environmental metric globally for assessing the performance of industrial, production, and service units. It is also a significant factor in the evaluation criteria set by Iran’s Environmental Protection Organization. To be recognized as a top performer, these units must demonstrate exceptional commitment to environmental sustainability, achieving the highest scores in their respective sectors.
Only two units from each industrial, mining, and service sector are selected each year. TERAM, with its exceptional adherence to the outlined environmental criteria, earned a score above 70 out of 100 at the 24th National Green Industries, Mining, and Services Conference. As a result, TERAM was honored with the title of “Selected Employer of the National Green Industry” for 2024.
In recognition of this achievement, a ceremony was held on January 20, 2024, at the Isfahan Governorate Conference Hall to celebrate the selected units. TERAM was the sole representative from the printing and packaging industry invited to this prestigious provincial event.

In recent years, there has been a notable increase in the emphasis on the quality and functionality of packaging within the pharmaceutical, dietary supplements, and cosmetics sectors. TERAM ‘s expertise in producing distinctive, functional, premium, and high-quality cardboard packaging plays a key role in delivering innovative solutions for pharmaceutical products, supplements, and personal care items, meeting the diverse needs of clients in these industries.
The PHARMEX Exhibition, which brings together suppliers of pharmaceutical, therapeutic, cosmetic, and personal care products and their essentials, has been a key event for Teram Group. This year, the exhibition was held for the fifth time from August 21 to September 3, 2023, at the Iran Mall Exhibition Center in Tehran. For the second consecutive year, TERAM Group proudly served as the strategic sponsor of this important event.
At the exhibition, TERAM focused on demonstrating the critical role of packaging design, the application of printing effects and coatings in branding, and their impact on a product’s market success. The company aimed to showcase its comprehensive services and solutions for improving packaging efficiency and quality, addressing the needs of visitors and manufacturers in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. Notably, over 1,500 visitors attended TERAM’s booth, underscoring the strong interest in its offerings.

The 22nd International Confectionery Fair, Machinery, and Biscuit Raw Materials Exhibition, Tehran 2023
Since its inception, Teram has had a significant presence in the food industry, with food manufacturers becoming one of its key customer groups. By providing innovative, distinctive, and visually striking designs, Teram has played a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of printing and packaging for food products in recent years. Its solutions, including laminated boxes, cardboard boxes, shelf-ready packaging, and the application of various print effects and coatings, have set Teram apart as a leader in the industry.
Recognizing the critical importance of safety and health in food packaging, Teram voluntarily earned the FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) in 2021. As the sole holder of this certification in Iran’s printing and packaging sector, Teram participated in the 22nd International Sweets and Chocolate, Machinery, and Biscuit Raw Materials Exhibition held in Tehran from September 16 to 19, 2023.
At the exhibition, Teram showcased the capabilities of its design team by presenting packaging structure samples, laminated and cardboard boxes, as well as shelf-ready boxes. The booth also featured successful packaging solutions for clients, enhanced through Teram’s diverse range of services. Visitors to the Teram booth included business owners and manufacturers from various food sectors, including dried fruits, sweets and chocolates, bread, ice cream and dairy products, cakes and cookies, wafers and biscuits, tea, and coffee. Additionally, professionals and producers from other industries, such as electronics, machinery manufacturing, and packaging material suppliers, also visited the booth, highlighting Teram’s broad industry reach.
